OVERVIEW
The EPS Carry–RD-MRS is an enclosed handgun sight designed for narrower, subcompact handguns. EPS Carry–RD-MRS features an aspheric lens for a perfectly clear sight picture and has an ultra-low dot height for compatibility with most factory iron sights. EPS Carry–RD-MRS is made of 7075 aluminum, includes a built-in rear notch sight, and utilizes Holosun’s popular K footprint. An RMSc-to-K footprint adapter plate is included for maximum compatibility.
EPS Carry–RD-MRS has Holosun’s 650nm Red Super LED with Holosun’s MRS (Multi-Reticle System) and uses a 1620 battery which provides up to 50k hour battery life, Solar Failsafe, and Shake Awake technology. EPS Carry-RD-MRS is compatible with popular subcompact pistols including G43 MOS, G48 MOS, Hellcat, P365 X/XL, and more.
Solar Failsafe™
Solar Failsafe Technology is one of many innovations featured on solar-equipped Holosun optics. With Solar Failsafe, if your battery fails you always have a backup power source when natural or artificial light is available. Solar Failsafe is activated while in Auto Mode where reticle intensity is automatically adjusted based on the amount of light the solar cell receives. In brighter conditions you have a brighter reticle and in lower-light conditions the reticle will step down in intensity to match any lighting conditions. On models equipped with a super capacitor, it is possible to run the optic, indefinitely, in daytime and night conditions, by maintaining a charge through the Solar Failsafe System all without a battery.
Shake Awake™
Shake Awake Technology is a standard feature on all current model Holosun optics and serves to extend battery life by deactivating the optic’s LED while not in use. A highly sensitive motion sensor works to detect motion keeping the LED powered on during use. This allows for duty or concealed carry with seamless operation throughout your day or shift. At the end of your day or shift when your firearm is stored, the motion sensor will detect a motionlessness state and after 10 minutes (default setting) Shake Awake Technology powers the LED off until motion is again detected. Shake Awake offers settings from 10 minutes to 12 hours depending on the model and can be deactivated altogether if preferred. The slightest touch of the optic instantly reactivates the LED so your Holosun optic is ready when needed.
Multiple Reticle System
Multi-reticle System (MRS) equipped Holosun optics allow you to determine the type of aiming point you want to use when you want to use it. Holosun optics equipped with MRS let you select a fast sight picture for shorter distances with a 65 MOA circle with 2 MOA dot (rifle optics) or a 32 MOA circle with 2 MOA dot (handgun optics). The large circle can help you obtain a sight picture faster, allows for a hold-over reference, and helps to guide your eye to the 2 MOA dot. The large ring can be deactivated leaving just the 2 MOA dot for an uncluttered sight picture and increased precision. Regardless of your application, Holosun’s Multi-reticle System offers the ultimate in optical sight customization for sportsman and professional users alike.
Super LED
Holosun Super LED technology includes Red, Green, and our latest Gold Dot LEDs providing options that match various environments and personal preferences including red/green color blindness with our Gold Dot. Super LED technology provides a versatile range of reticle intensity settings from night vision-compatible to daylight bright. Holosun Super LEDs have ultra-efficient power usage creating battery like as high as 50,000 hours on certain models. Our Super Green LED is designed to match the wavelength of light that the human eye is most reactive to.
Multilayer Reflective Glass
Holosun’s use of Grade 5 Titanium in certain Elite category optics and laser devices results in unparalleled strength and durability. Holosun Grade 5 Titanium has more than double the tensile strength and has five-times the fatigue strength of 7075 Aluminum. Grade 5 Titanium is also able to withstand the corrosiveness of seawater making Holosun Titanium model optics and lasers suitable for use in maritime environments.
